The Hydraulic Flash Arrestor is designed to provide protection in medium pressure fuel gas piping systems. Equipped with floor stands and flashback fluid (non-absorbing ethylene glycol), they help prevent the penetration of the gas into upstream equipment such as gas cylinders, hoses, and regulators. When explosive gases are transferred there could be a spark, leak, or other circumstances that could cause a fire. This fire then moves in a reverse direction (towards the source) which can lead to an explosion or flashback. The flashback arrestor allows the flow to occur in one direction only. If there is a reverse flow, the hydraulic flash arrester quenches the fire with a liquid barrier. The CONCOA hydraulic flash arrestor provides optimal protection when handling flammable gases and is essential for welding, cutting, heating, and other industrial applications.
